Like many young immigrants, Joaquin Arciago Guzman came to the United States looking for the American dream. In 1928, at age 18, he left the Philippines for the Salinas Valley in California to harvest lettuce and cabbage for 40 cents an hour.
Eighty-four years later, at the age of 102, Guzman placed his hand over his heart and took the U.S. Oath of Allegiance Wednesday.— ABC News
Hey how about Joaquin Arciago Guzman for president in 2020? He has a pretty presidential hairline for a man his age. And I bet at age 110 he could show up to a baseball game and throw out a better first pitch than Barack Obama 9 times out of 10.
What’s great about people like Mr. Guzman is that he truly believes in American Exceptionalism, unlike a certain someone that is in the White House right now. Becoming an American citizen was important to him because he knew that this land rewarded him for his hard work and helped him achieve a life he couldn’t have imagined otherwise.
