Refers to them as a ‘plague’
Is there anything more rude than when someone comes into your home, eats your food and sleeps in your cave systems, and then tries to tell you how to do Jihad their way? Like your own Jihad wasn’t good enough? So frustrating.
A Taliban commander, in a recent interview, said that he was ‘relieved’ when Osama bin Laden was killed because the deceased Al Qaeda leader had ruined Afghanistan.
“To tell the truth, I was relieved at the death of Osama [bin Laden]. Through his policies, he destroyed Afghanistan. If he really believed in jihad he should have gone to Saudi Arabia and done jihad there, rather than wrecking our country.”
This commander, speaking anonymously for obvious reasons, also is rather bearish on the Taliban’s future military endeavors, saying that he believes they cannot retake Kabul—even after western forces leave next year.
“The Taliban capturing Kabul is a very distant prospect. Any Taliban leader expecting to be able to capture Kabul is making a grave mistake.”
This particular Taliban commander happens to be a former resident of our very own Guantanamo Bay.
