Our government needs to stand up to Tehran
Right now we have an American and United States Marine sitting in Iran, facing death at the hands of the increasingly belligerent Islamofascist Iranian government.
The Iranians accuse Amir Mirzaei Hekmati of being an “enemy of God,” and, more specifically, of spying on Iran and working for the Central Intelligence Agency. Hekmati was arrested in September, two weeks after arriving in Iran to visit his grandmothers.
It really doesn’t matter if he was in the CIA or not. For the sake of national security, we don’t need to know and we shouldn’t want to know. What matters is that he is a citizen (and veteran) of the United States, and deserves to die peacefully as an old man on U.S. soil.
What he needs, and what this country needs, is the sitting president to ensure his return by any means necessary. The world must understand that the United States of America will not bend to intimidation from fascist Islamic theocracies, and that the people of the United States will not stand to have one of our own killed by a terrorist state.
Read the story about Hekmati at the Navy Times. (1200 words/2.5 pages).

Oops, T.J. Calm down your rhetoric. Sauce for goose, and all. Stop being so damned self-righteous.
