Double amputee advances to Olympic 400m semifinals
Next time you’re feeling lazy or sorry for yourself, remember Oscar Pistorious, the South African runner, who despite having no legs, is among the world’s fastest. Wearing carbon fiber blades where the rest of us have legs and feet, Pistorious ran the 400 in 45.44 seconds to advance to the Olympic semifinals.
