when first the Democratic National Committee practices to deceive
In recent weeks, CNN has twice called out Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, for outright lying about Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.
Yesterday, Anderson Cooper took her to task for a DNC fundraising letter that misrepresented Romney’s views on abortion. Check out the exchange here, via the Weekly Standard (7:11). Wasserman-Schultz had been using verbal acrobatics to tie Romney to the Missouri senatorial candidate who claimed pregnancy cannot result from “legitimate rape.”
Earlier this month, Wolf Blitzer challenged Wasserman-Schultz for claiming that Ryan’s plan to save Medicare involved changes for those currently receiving Medicare. When, in fact, as Blitzer noted while Wasserman-Schultz stuttered, Ryan’s plan specifically says nothing about Medicare changing for those about to turn 55 and older. Watch that gem of an exchange here (4 minutes).
