Website wants more people to run to government for succor
It’s scary enough for the separation of powers that the federal government has a single website–USA.gov, created under President Clinton. But what’s worse is that USA.gov is encouraging more people to seek government assistance, as Joel Clarke reports at the Washington Examiner. The website, which is run by anonymous bureaucrats as far as I can tell, says:
“Given that only 15 percent of you turn to government assistance in tough times, we want to make sure you know about benefits that could help you.”
Only 15 percent of poll respondents said they ran to the government when in need of help! What a tragedy for the welfare state! How can government control people when they prefer to be free and independent?
The answer: They can’t. So choose freedom this fall.
