Issues statement appeasing rioters who attack U.S. embassy in Cairo in retaliation for a Dutch film criticizing Mohammad
What was the Obama administration’s response to the attack on the American Embassy in Cairo today, the 11th anniversary of 9/11?
His administration chose to side with the attackers, by criticizing a Dutch filmmaker who dared to say something negative about the Prophet Mohammed.
Caving into the rioters ultimatum that “If your freedom of speech has no limits, may you accept our freedom of action,” the U.S. Embassy issued this statement:
“We firmly reject the actions by those who abuse the universal right of free speech to hurt the religious beliefs of others.”
Should that be the response of America to those who attack the notion of free speech?
Charles Hurt at the Washington Times holds nothing back, calling out the administration for this cowardly rejection of freedom (2 pages).
