White House gave all Haitians ‘temporary protected status,’ regardless of criminal records
President Obama’s immigration authorities allowed a twice-convicted felon whom a judge ordered deported back to Haiti to roam free in Florida. And during his extended stay in the United States, he used his freedom to murder three people, ages 35, 25, and 15.
Why did immigration authorities allow this man—Keslar Dufrene, who had been arrested nine times since age 14—to linger in the U.S.? Because the Obama administration had halted all deportations to Haiti, giving a “temporary protected status” even to Haitian criminals in America, at the expense, it turns out, of American lives.
