In His Image (IHII) exists to evangelize, disciple, train and mobilize healthcare professionals so that they are empowered to impact their nation and the world for Christ by improving health and meeting the spiritual needs of the unreached. The goal of our residency program is to train our residents to practice excellent, high quality, compassionate medicine in a wide variety of settings, focusing on medically underserved populations in the United States and overseas. We see medicine as a calling and invite you to explore with us what it means to be a physician “In His Image”.
IHII accomplishes its mission through a variety of methods. Over the years we have partnered with In His Image alumni and missionaries to create overseas residency training programs. Currently we have overseas residency programs located in Almaty, Kazakhstan; Macau, China; Shenyang, China and Kabul, Afghanistan, and Cairo, Egypt.
Another way IHII accomplishes its mission is through overseas outreaches, including providing free clinics, disaster relief assistance, orphanage ministry, spiritual conferences and medical conferences. Numerous times a year, IHII sends teams of doctors, resident physicians and nurses throughout Asia and Africa to hold healthcare conferences and consultations. Medical lectures, hands-on workshops and informal social meetings are some of the creative ways IHII is able to reach healthcare professionals in these countries, most of which are closed to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. IHII is also a sending agency and therefore is a support for individuals preparing to go on the mission field or ones who are currently on the mission field.
